Problem
Hamilton Airport wanted to illuminate a commercial subdivision to a high level without the use of upward lighting because of its positioning right next to Hamilton International Airport.p>
Solution
HiSpec used eight 120W LED street lights with 10m black designer poles with a 2m outreach. This ensured the optimum spread of light while being extremely cost-effective.
Result
The commercial subdivision is well lit with a strong cut-off of light at the edge of the road. The result is a highly visible, beautifully lit roadway with no upwards light affecting aircraft safety. HiSpec has since gone on to light up the next stage of the project which is right next to Hamilton International airport.
