Problem
The community using the causeway under the Pou bridge, particularly at night, where feeling threatened and unsafe due to undesirable people inhabiting the area and causing a nuisance through values anti-social activities.
Solution
HiSpec investigated the environment and proposed the use of two 30W LED tunnel lights to illuminated under the bridge and two 30W street lights and poles to illuminate the path and sign.
Because of the low ceiling height of the bridge and the potentially high incidence of vandalism and graffiti through easy access, HiSpec designed a cage and produced a solution with glass to protect the lights.
Results
Locals can now enjoy a well-lit, safer path at night. The incidence of vagrancy and undesirable activity has been reduced to virtually zero.
